Conceived
and realized in 1978 in a cave between the desert and the ocean, in the
south of Morocco, on a simple drawing
paper sheet of 21
X 27 cm. Without any
starting idea, if not to let the pencil follow
the whims of the hand and a assably
tormented spirit, the elements appeared
which I then included in the later versions.
Reflection, also, of the reality of this period:
edge of sea, desert landscape, octopus
which constituted my principal food, water
pipe and chaotic impressions.
Coloured thereafter with gouaches,
this painting is the very first image which
I ever carried out in the long term and
was the catch which made me enter,
at the thirty years age into a time of
intense pictorial creations which did
not know any respite during the eight
years which followed.
A search of harmony within chaos.
