AND RIC's TALKING PICTURES GALLERIES
We are a couple of French Artists, Painters, Designers, Photographers
and Webmasters
combining Surrealism and Hyperrealism. Our original creations are mainly
inspired by the
esoteric traditions and symbolism , but , aside from any intellectual
approach , we mostly
hope to communicate to our Human fellows positive feelings , our love
for beauty and
harmony . The paintings (Oils on Canvas), Drawings, Pastels and Photographs
are halfway
between the traditional Representational Art and the spirit of Contemporary
Art by the
modernism of their inspiration . The Graphics , the light and the colours
are associated in
aesthetic and contemplative conceptions : various forms of artistic expressions
interfere,
Classicism with Abstract Photographs , hyper geometrical constructions
combined
with Representational and Impressionist oil painting techniques .
The use of oil-base paint , of charcoal , sepia and pastels offers a large
range of
possibilities in the creation of our Talking Pictures with the help of
Photography
throughout the whole process . From nature to experimental photographs,
through her
meditative paintings and drawings, SYL shows out her spontaneous and deep
reflection,
while RIC drags out from his subconscious world his need for order and
harmony in the
nature's chaos. The Logos, the animations and the graphic design of this
site
are the work of SYL&RIC who became for this occasion a couple of Webmasters
devoted to this new workshop , the albums and the Galleries you are now
able to visit ,
and so we do hope, to appreciate and find in them some positive feelings.

Born
in 1967 in Lille, Syl comes at the age of eight to settle with her family
in the
South of France.
Born
in 1948 in Marseilles, Ric finds a relief in his childhood, following
various
inspirations for complex compositions...
After
two years of studies of Psychology at the University of Nice, SYL leaves
to the
French West Indies then to Venezuela for a journey which will last nearly
three years.
During this tour, she learns and practices various handycrafts experiences
(Jewellery, Woodcarvings... ).
After two years of study of Philosophy at the university of Aix in Provence,
RIC travels
in a discontinuous but persistent way to Europe, to Africa and in Asia,
then, withdraws
himself during Seven years in wild nature to devote himelf to Paintings
and Speculative
Psychology. In 1989, SYL & RIC meet in Antibes, exchange their experiments,
their energies and share their inspirations, create and travel together
from north to south of Europe.
Drawings, Paintings, Pastels, Frescos, Artistic and experimental photography,
audio-visual Shows, Webart creations, hold alternately their attention
. From 1990 to 2003,
they live, work, exhibit their work successfully in various European cities
(Cannes, Marbella, Hamburg...).
Under the title " Art-Image ", we present in these pages a sampling
of drawings,
paintings and photographs carried out by ourselves: a couple of artists
independent
of any artistic group and any current or collective movement.
Across the still images that one can find in these pages we built ourselves,
as well as original art backgrounds, animations and various web designs,
our activities also include various experiences of audio-visual shows,
multiple projections
of slides, light shows combined with musical or choreographic performances,
as well as transcriptions in video and various projects of 3D animations.
The whole being supplemented by various experiments of decoration,
murals and stage sets, one can accept the apparently pretentious heading
of it.
